Warranty covers a lot, but not everything. In this article, you'll see which damage is not covered by warranty and what you can do instead.
Damage you've caused yourself
Damage that occurs from misuse or accidents is not covered by warranty. Examples:
- A mouse you dropped that broke the button
- Liquid damage from spilled coffee or water
- Damage from incorrectly connecting cables
- Scratches or impact damage from transporting the product without original packaging
Frustrating, but understandable: these are things we as a seller cannot prevent.
Normal wear and tear
Certain parts simply wear out through normal use. For those parts, there is sometimes a separate arrangement (for example, 6 months on internal batteries), but after that wear and tear is no longer covered by warranty.
Damage from misuse
Did you use the product differently than the manufacturer specifies? Then the warranty becomes void. Think of:
- Continuously overloading a product that isn't designed for it
- Modifications or repairs done yourself
- Use outside the specified environmental conditions (extremely hot, cold, humid)
What is covered?
For damage outside of warranty, we can sometimes still help, such as:
- Order parts separately if we can supply them
- Repair at your own cost for some products
- Maintenance tips to prevent it from happening again

Prevention is better than claiming
A few simple things to keep your product in good condition for as long as possible:
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions
- Use original chargers and cables
- Store the product in a safe place
- Clean it regularly according to the instructions
